Every Interview I Fall Apart: Post Malone Says It's a Struggle Being a White Rapper

In an interview with GQ , the "White Iverson" rapper was asked "Do you, Post Malone, ever feel anxious about working in a primarily black-identified genre of music?" Post responded by saying "I definitely feel like there's a struggle being a white rapper. But I don't want to be a rapper. I just want to be a person that makes music. I make music that I like and I think that kick ass, that I think the people who fuck with me as a person and as an artist will like." This is all coming from a rapper who just had a #1 hit with his recent single "Rockstar." Malone also cracked into the Billboard Top 10 Country chart with his song "Congratulations" (which I didn't even know was a country song but alright). It seems like being a white rapper is doing wonders for him at the moment.  This story isn't anything new. We've heard it with Macklemore, Iggy Azalea, and now Post. The white rapper blues. You Better Call Tyrone & Have Him Come Get You Out of This Mess: Erykah Badu Under Fire for Humanizing Hitler

During a recent interview with Vulture, Erykah Badu was asked if she can separate an artists' actions with their art. The examples used was XXXTENTACION and Bill Cosby, both who have a known past assaulting women. Badu went on to say that "hurt people hurt people" and questioned why she should be upset with someone who's sick [hurt]. Badu says that she weighs everything and that she has the skill to see the good and the bad. She prides herself on not being one to follow the crowd and is able to think for herself, even if it means upsetting others. All of that is fine and dandy until Badu said, "I'm a humanist. I see the good in everybody. I saw something good in Hitler." This left the interviewer and readers at home going:  Did Erykah Badu really just try to humanize Hitler? She even went on to say that he was a wonderful painter. The interviewer, David Marchese, was not going to let Ms. Badu get away with that statement. He quickly clapped bac

From "Get Up" to "#LevelUp" Ciara Causes Controversy With Recent Twitter Video

Ciara one-two-stepped her way into a twitter catastrophe when she tweeted this video of Pastor John Gray preaching a sermon about how women need to stop acting like girlfriends while expecting to be wives. Her caption "#LevelUp" stirred some controversy on the timeline. #LevelUp pic.twitter.com/rmS0WMOV1B — Ciara (@ciara) January 20, 2018 Those who agreed with Ciara's message believe that if it's acceptable to talk about being promiscuous then it should be okay to talk about being married: I don't disagree with Ciara, the message I took from it was know your worth & don't settle which is empowering BUT you can emphasise what women need to do all day, if the same isn't reinforced to men what's the point. — GHANA'S FINEST (@Ghanasfinestx) January 22, 2018 So Ciara is getting backlash for for saying carry yourself as a wife!? But when someone says embrace your inner hoe it’s all cool and the gang?? Copy!! — Qīus (@quis

"I'm Not Homophobic No More" Offset Responds to Accusation of Homophobia

Offset of Migos made headlines today for doing something besides being unfaithful to Cardi B. I know right?! I'm shocked too. Unfortunately he has our attention because his verse on YFN Lucci's "Boss Life" was homophobic. The line verbatim is "I cannot vibe with queers." Really Offset??? In 2018 we're really saying spewing homophobic language so openly. Fast forward the video below to 0:23 seconds and check it out: I swear Offset murders every feature that he is on pic.twitter.com/LjLNqNIxDI — WSHH DAILY (@WSHHDAILYMUSIC) January 17, 2018 Offset went from "Boss Life" to "Fight Night" mode to defend himself against the backlash he received on Twitter. Here are his statements below: It's hard to take this statement seriously when there are multiple grammar errors. Offset should've released a professional statement before posting this on his Instagram. If he wanted to talk about stalkers there

POWER (spoilers)

I know what you're thinking "You're just now watching Power?" "You're late Power been off for a minute" "blah, blah, blah" I know, I know. I've been hearing about Power for a minute but never watched it because to be honest I wasn't interested. None of my close friends watched it so I just shrugged it off...at least I tried to. Every Sunday on social media my timelines would be flooded with posts from Power. I would try my best to avoid them yet it seems like no matter what social media site I was on it was always there.  This past week my TRIO Advisor, Ms. Lori, was talking to me and my friend Matt about Power. I remember watching an episode and a half around Labor Day but didn't finish because I was focused on completing my assignment. With the upcoming 4-day break I decided that now was my chance to finally watch Power and see what all the hype is about. Luckily for me the first three seasons are on Hulu (shoutout to S
