Cardi B just announced that she's dropping her debut album on April 6th. The album is titled "Invasion of Privacy," which makes perfect sense because she's talked numerous times saying she feels like her life is not her own anymore. She's on her Kashdoll "my life is for everybody." STRESS. That's it. I've been juggling a lot this semester. Taking classes I actually like, writing for The Northerner, being a contributor on King of Reads, and creating a YouTube channel. I'm gonna be honest; my time management skills aren't the best (or existent). I procrastinate and then stress out because I waited until the last minute to do something. Rumors are swirling that Big Sean is cheating on the "Sativa" singer with former Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger. According to  The Jasmine Brand : "They both attended an Oscar Awards after-party together and were cozied up together sitting at a table in VIP... They were all over each other and they looked really comfortable around each other. They looked like they were a couple." No cameras were allowed a the event and a source says that someone told Jhene about Big Sean and Nicole being together and she was furious.  "She was pissed, she confronted him about it and he didn't really deny it." How awkward for Jhene to have Big Sean tatted on her arm (HIS WHOLE FACE, GIRL) only to find out that he had been unfaithful. After this incident Jhene has unfollowed him on Instagram. If you grew up anything like me, musicians like Musiq Soulchild, Lauryn Hill, and Jill Scott flooded your household growing up. On car rides my parents only brought Jaheim, Musiq Soulchild, and instrumental hip-hop CDs on the road. I didn't really appreciate this music until my college years to be honest. I used to get sick of hearing somebody beg to be your friend and why Jaheim was fabulous. Now when I listen to these artists it brings up nostalgia. I feel calm and peaceful. Listening to neo-soul has become a part of my self-care routine and makes me feel like I'm cleansing my soul. As spring is arriving and everyone is getting rid of all of the toxicity in their lives. I decided to create a neo-soul playlist of the songs I grew up on. The many car rides, Saturday morning cleaning sessions, and hair washing days all tied into one playlist. Megan Thee Stallion is the hottest female rapper coming from Houston. The 22-year-old rapstress first got my attention with this hot freestyle I seen on tumblr. That was only the beginning. Megan continued to post freestyles over your favorite songs that are so good you question why you haven't listened to her sooner. Her style is a mix of sex positive bars and a confidence like no other. What makes the college educated rapper stand out is that she has the looks and the bars. Her lyricism is out of this world. She is really putting on for her city and is a force to be reckoned with in the rap game. Her first EP "Make It Hot" dropped last September and she just now started filming a vlog on YouTube called "Hotties World."
